This Privacy Policy describes what CITUR does with your information when you use the CITUR website. It also describes what CITUR does with your information when you contact CITUR.

1. When do we collect information about you?

We may collect information about you when you:

  • enquire us directly or through our clients (ex: travel agencies, tour operators, incentives & events agencies or companies)

  • meet CITUR team members at events, fairs or meetings

  • ID Card/Passport data: Birth date, ID/Passport number & validity dates, etc.
  • Customer’s Preferences: seating preferences
  • Health Data: dietary restrictions, medical condition
  • Identification data: business-related contact details as job function, department & staff number

We collect information about you to process your enquiry, your booking, manage your account, provide any services to you, and contact you about CITUR services we think may be of interest to you.

4.With whom do we share the information about you (Third party data communication and international data transfers)

CITUR can and may have to communicate specific data to third parties, namely to suppliers or service providers (within EEA or outside EEA) that have a direct connection with the requested services which are strictly necessary for the operation (such as accommodation units, land transport companies, airlines, insurance companies, etc.).

CITUR does its best to assure that third-party communications or necessary international data transfers to companies located outside EEA, also apply a high level of security, similar to the one established in EEA in terms of data protection. Please contact [email protected], if you would like to know the specific safeguards that have been applied in third party data sharing.

Your personal data is also stored in the protected servers of our suppliers / service providers, being accessed and used exclusively under our policies and standards (or equivalent policies and standards of our suppliers / service providers).

CITUR will not share your information for marketing purposes with Third Parties unless you specifically give us permission to do so.

6.                  How do we maintain the data secured?

We store your data only if necessary or for the time strictly necessary and above all for the purpose for which it was collected.

The archived data is kept in secure server storage where we will be able to retrieve it, if required.

Once the maximum period of storage has been reached, your personal data will be permanently anonymized (anonymized data may be retained) or destroyed through a secure method.

Length of time that records will be available before being archived:

  • Customer records (inactive) – 5 years
  • Candidate records – 5 years after placement or assignment ends, or after contact from the candidate

CITUR will continue to review the effectiveness of this policy on at least an annual basis, and more frequently if required, taking into account changes in the law and organizational or security changes.
